THE OPERATING STANDARD
Frequently Asked Questions
What is The Operating Standard?
The Operating Standard is a library of practical digital business systems and management toolkits designed to help businesses create stronger structure, accountability, visibility and control. Browse the complete business systems library.
Are these just business templates?
No. While the products include editable templates and working files, they are structured around complete management processes. Depending on the product, this can include guidance, dashboards, registers, meeting tools, review processes and worked examples.
What file formats are included?
File formats vary by product and are listed on the relevant product page. Products are primarily built in Microsoft Word and Excel, with PDF files included where appropriate.
Can I edit the files?
Yes. Editable working files are a core part of the product model. You can adapt them to your business, subject to the applicable licence terms.
How are products delivered?
Products are digital downloads. After successful payment, customers receive access to the files included with their purchase through the store's digital-delivery process. Full details are in our Digital Delivery policy.
Can I use a product in more than one business?
The standard licence is for internal use within one purchasing business. Multi-business, resale, redistribution, white-label and external client use are not included unless separate rights are expressly provided.
Can consultants use the systems with clients?
Not under the standard single-business licence. External consulting, training, resale or client implementation requires separate permission or a commercial licence where offered.
Is consulting or implementation support included?
No unless a specific product page expressly states otherwise. The systems are designed for self-implementation and may include instructions, examples or implementation guidance.
Do the products constitute professional advice?
No. The resources provide general business-management information and tools. They are not legal, accounting, tax, financial, employment or other regulated professional advice.
What if I have a download or file issue?
